What are 100% PTFE Glide Skates?
These are glide skates that are made from 100% pure PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylenet) material without any additives or color. It has one of the very lowest coefficients of friction. This ensures your mouse will fly across your mousepad.
How is battery life calculated?
The Aerox 5 Wireless features two wireless modes which provide different durations of battery life. In Bluetooth and low-power 2.4GHz mode, expect up to 180 hours. In default 2,4 GHz mode, expect up to 80 hours. Out of the box, the mouse is set to “Default mode”: when the mouse is idle for 30 seconds the LED’s dim by 50%. After an additional 4,5 minutes of idle time, the lighting and mouse go into sleep mode. When the mouse is moving, the lighting is turned off until the mouse stops moving. These settings can be adjusted in SteelSeries Engine.
What’s the difference between 2,4 GHz and Bluetooth?
2,4 GHz provides you a range of polling rates that can reach up to 1000 Hz / 1ms. This will provide you gaming-grade performance with no latency using a wireless dongle that connects to your device. Bluetooth has a default polling rate of 125 Hz / 8ms and does not require a dongle on any Bluetooth 5,0 compatible devices.
Is there a wire?
Yes - the Aerox 5 Wireless comes with an included Super Mesh detachable Type-C to Type-A cable for fast charging the mouse. This cable also allows for playing while charging.
What are the side buttons used for?
The side buttons are used to help you react faster in-game. They’re designed to be quickly pressed and allows you to reset your thumb to quickly maneuver your mouse at the same time. This layout helps balance the workload between your left and right hand so you can react faster, play better, and move quicker in any game you play.
